WSAFE exists to create and support a unified community where every individual student can live an enriched, well-rounded life. Connecting families to resources, we bring together people of all backgrounds, cultures, and circumstances to stand as one strong front—closing the gaps caused by socioeconomic challenges.
Our Services
Sponsorship
Washougal S.A.F.E. nonprofit wants all students to have enriched well rounded education and lives. We offer the opportunity for those in financial disparity to still participate in programs offered outside of or after school. We offer student scholarships to help pay for extracurricular activities and learning opportunities. As funding gets tighter and harder to receive WSAFE steps in and offers Funding for teachers and staff to support school Programs and Activities.
Community
Outreach
Washougal S.A.F.E. nonprofit is dedicated to putting our Washougal community first. Our community Outreach program provides a much-needed service for those in need. You can find us handing flyers out at school & community events. Partnering with the Eagles Lodge and FCRC (Family Resource Center) of Washougal School District. Working with the Family Resource Center to step in and support families with emergency housing/ utilities assistance. Our volunteers want to hear from you. We want to know what our students need, so chat with us.
Food
Programs
We see every challenge as an opportunity, and our Nourish to Flourish Program helps Washougal S.A.F.E. ensure that Students don’t face food insecurities even during long school breaks. Our Food Program Partners with other WSD programs and sends food bags home to families over breaks to ensure those we serve are better prepared for the unique situations they find themselves in. Connecting families to more than just a one time service but a network of people and programs that help guide them to self stating lifestyle.

HOW WSAFE OPPERATES
Volunteers
WSAFE currently has a great group of people helping to meet the needs of students. WSAFE is still in need of gathering more volunteers who want to help with events, committees or fundraising. We need people who just want to help with simple tasks like networking or planning single events & people who want to be apart of everyday activities. Your time is important and matters.
Fundraising
WSAFE is working on fundraising efforts currently. We need money and resources that we can direct to students and families. Any money donations or items for fundraising purposes like gift cards or prizes to offer at fundraisers would greatly be appreciated. We have Venmo and PayPal account. We are 501c Approved so receipts for donations can be offered.
Outreach
WSAFE has appeared at many school events and community events. Many of our referrals will come from FCRC but we don’t want any needs gaps in our community. Please let us know if you see a need or want to nominate a family. We currently have an application for students families and teachers to use to apply for help or grants.
How to help
Right now we are looking for volunteers to build committees and work on various fundraisers. Any type of donation money, clothing, gift cards, food we can direct to good use.
