WSAFE OFFERS SUPPORT FOR
Student Sholarship
We want students to participate in a wide rage of activities regardless of financially ability. We want to cover the cost of after school programs not only offered by the school but other locations as well. Currently we offer up to $300 one time scholarships per student each year. We meet once a month to review and approve funding.

Transportation Assistance
Gas prices on the rise getting from place to place is increasingly harder. We don’t want students unable to participate because of transportation needs. We offer ways to get connected with transportation resources and can often supply the funds to assist in this issue.

Food Program
This Program was previously ran by the GAP foundation. Supports food and snacks for Thanksgiving Break, Winter break, School start and Spring Break. Giving extra food during times that become extra hard on low-income students. All students are referred or verified by the FCRC (Family Resource Center of Washougal School District).

Support For Unfunded School Programs
Thanks to our fantastic community there are many volunteer non founded programs at the schools to support tutoring, class make up and clubs. Students work better when provided snacks, meals and free school supplies. WSAFE Provides funding often for these programs.

Emergency Funding
There are so many needs a family comes across that cant be predicted or planned on. Fire evacuations, weather emergencies, even Covid 19 created a new and unforeseen circumstance. We currently have an on call team who can offer fast services or funding for such cases that through other programs require lengthy paper work and processing times. Get expedited if referred by the FCRC.

Awards For Student Volunteers
We hope to Host events for students to participate in that fund and support WSAFE. By making WSAFE connected to students direct support and participation we hope to remove the stigma students feel for asking for help/ assistance. If students feel ownership of available funding we hope they will more likely utilize WSAFE to it’s full benefits.
